Marianne Barnabó

An international legal expert, Marianne graduated in international law from Uppsala University, Sweden.
She held key positions within the International Air Transport Association (IATA) which provide expertise in the legislative and regulatory framework for aviation policy at all levels. As legal counsel and Director for European Affairs in IATA, she has worked intimately on issues such as arbitration, trans-Atlantic legislation, antitrust and extra-territoriality.
Her recent experience includes shipping and aviation with respect to EU policy and, in particular, competition rules. She has in-depth knowledge of the EU institutions, their organisation, policy and issues of relevance to all forms of transport, and funding.
Marianne serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Airport Development Partners (ADP), and is Vice President for International Affairs and Conferences at the International Aviation Women's Association (IAWA).
